WITHIN THE EXPERIENCE OF TRANSFERERENCE de SANTESTEBAN Olga M. It is around the experience of transference that I would like to articulate some of its dimensions, which have allowed to organize -upon new signifiers- the entrance into analysis and the logical stages of its preliminary interview, indicating -in an umprecedent way- the desire of the analyst. I will go over some axes which will allow us to explain the phenomenon - axes that have meant an advancement in Lacan- in the place of the invention and the Freudian discovery. The experience of transference involves: --Transference as a movement originated in the phantasmatic vacillation, caused by an object. This object, cause of desire, addressed to the analyst to introduce the demand, gives raise to the jouissance of the symthom, causing the emergence of a demand of interpreting, inclined to configurate a field of knowledge. The possibility of marking the time and the constellation in which the demand has been produced becomes capital for two reasons:
--To place the demand as an expression of the instinctual world at the time of confrontation of bodies or the encounter of bodies. The demand introduces itself as that bet made by the analyser for a genuine invention of his story as a subject, to the suject who inhabits in him and to the shapes of his desire, grasped in the conditions in which jouissance operates. A true advancement was to think -with regard to the demand- that it was the analyst's turn to answer...and that such answer supposed a genuine encounter given by the dimension in which the deeply uncounscious sense of that demand is restituted through a saying.
When a saying institutes or produces an act or an event, we are placed at the core itself of the Freudian adventure....When we are involved as a jouissant substance to manouver language as a device of juissance, and thus, plunge ourselves into the task of unknotting the symptom and place that enigmatic phantasy in which the subject is captured, to re-launch desire - we are placed at the core of the Lacanian adventure. In such respect, it unabled us to open the signifier net to the subtle game of arousing love, passion, desire. Such game may highlight a milestone in the history of thought, when it awakes -on behalf of the analyser- the love of transference and -on behalf of the analyst - the love/hate elition to put into action the gift of a desire that allows us a reflourishment of love. Love in terms of "l'(a)MUR", that is, the rapport we produce in the very escence of love and its limit, the a object and its wall... There is in Jacques Lacan a true invention when he encourages the analyst not to recede, and to constitute that 1 x 1 as a unique, passional experience, framed by love and desire.. --Transference is supposition of knowledge addressed to position of the analyst Knowledge to be developped.
If transference was the trial of the effects of knowledge....a new Lacaninan advancement will be that one of living the experience of transference articulated under the terms designed by repetition: veilled, opaque, illusive, powerful, instinctive, passional.... organized around the symptom -an unsupposed knowledge- but a frame that grants us the knotting of sexuality and death. If knowledge is to be developped....what accompanies this movement is the economy of jouissance which holds it. In such economy of jouissance, the constitutive ciphering of the uncounscious, finds its expression in the insistence of the letter with which jouissance insists.... Therefore, knowledge to be developped, but also knowledge bound to be loved...But for this to happen, transference in regard to the desire of the analyst introduces itself to put into action another principle meant to enclose the positions of desire, in order to clear from repetition, the cipher of a given jouissance. --Transference as the trigger of the economy of jouissance, as shelter to the question of being,. it reveals us in anxiety, obcenity and segregation, the presence of a real at stake. Position in which the subject is deeply concerned, and where it 'acquires' the measure or the precise point in which it lacks of itself, in which estrangement and sinister veil such being lost and found back again in the invention of love. For such reasons, transference is the scene where the passage of jouissance to the uncounscious takes place. To lodge jouissance into knowledge, implies the writing of the conditions in which the remains of jouissance operate, and the unveiling -by means of semblants- of the masks with which the object cause of desire reveals itself. --Transference has its support and pivot on the subject supposed to knowledge. The'mistake' of the subject supposed to knowledge: "It became crucial to establish the escencial 'mistake' of the subject in the theory. A theory which includes a lack, that must be found again in every aspect of it; inscripted here as undetermination, there, as certainty, and to constitute the knott of what is uninterpretable". The process of transference takes place within the frame of the economy of jouissance that offers us its ciphering of jouissance...In this way, between the demand of the analyzer, which presents and moves the jouissance of the symptom, and the emergence of the subject supposed to knowledge, we will be offered what will produce the emergence of a new social bond. This social bond finds its support in the 'style' with which the analyst will recompose the deeply uncounscious sense of such demand. And this grants him a true acknowledgement when he articulates the ciphering of a given jouissance. This ciphering of jouissance will introduce its masks while it goes over the fundamental moments of cutting and splitting where the history of the losses and the dwells that they provoked, will be disclosed. To submit the a object to another context, to measure the space it has left free once this displacement has taken place, is to go over and over again along the circuit of repetition, with the true scandall of obcenity and segregation that slides into transference. Transference bears everything that from the real can be knotted, in the knott constituted by jouissance, body, death, all of them articulated or framed in that uncontrastable impasse of sex. To let pass and to enclose these relations, are inherent to the truth that Psychoanalysis has discovered in the love of knowledge, if transference is proved, as the place that reveals the truth of love....truth that means here, its edge with horror.... But to throw away repeatedly each of the objects into the void of castration, means to find once and again, the cause of desire, and -in my belief- this constitutes the most remarcable advancement that the analytical discourse is now processing. Not only as a theory, but as the performance of the practice of an experience, as an attempt to formalize such experience in order to be transmmited. In this way, the experience of transference made up by these different levels, conform a knott which unfolds itself right from the beginning, when the encounter between bodies takes place, where the analyst commands such transference so that it takes the shape of a genuine event, that one which highlights the invention of a bond between love and desire, where the presence of the mystery of the body that talks, becomes the enigm of the uncounscious, which finds its cause in the desire that inhabits it To question love, its errancy, its fate and the drama which constitutes it, concerns transference. Love that could not be concieved without passion, even if it occupies the place of the ignorance of desire, and even if it promotes the phantasme of infinitude of jouissance. The subject supposed to knowledge detaches itself only if it could have been knotted within the frame of the economy of jouissance. This is what founds the act of birth of one psychoanalysis, and it is in this very same site where the separation -which founds the end of the history of this transference- takes place.
